Q: What is the Purpose of the Symposium?

A:  The Symposium is designed to provide government officials with a solid, unbiased grounding in the policy issues surrounding the rise of Internet video.

Q:  Who Will Be Invited to the Symposium?

A:  Government officials responsible for formulating policy, laws and regulations that affect the Internet and communications businesses will be invited to the Symposium. Individuals from various arms of the government, including the Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, the White House, the Department of State, the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice.

Q:  How Much Does It Cost to Attend the Symposium?

A:  Invited government officials are invited at no charge to attend the Symposium.  The Symposium is now open to a limited number of non-government attendees on a per person, paid registration basis and sponsors, of course, can attend.

Q:  What Does "Off-the-Record" Mean?

A:  In the hopes of fostering free-flowing, constructive discussion at the Symposium, members of the press, including representatives of the host companies, are asked to keep the Symposium presentations and discussion off-the-record.

Q:  Can I Suggest a Speaker for the Symposium?

A:  Because we aim for the Symposium to be a balanced, unbiased overview of specialized topics, from intellectual property law to international trade issues, our line-up of presenters and speakers will necessarily be recruited from a small pool of experts.  Therefore, we are not interested in corporate representatives who might view the Symposium as an opportunity for marketing purposes or to advance a corporate viewpoint.  Otherwise, please contact Cynthia Brumfield via email or at 240-235-1994 with any suggestions.
